External Fire Exposure Test Machine is a type of test equipment used to evaluate the performance of battery materials and structures under fire exposure conditions. The equipment is carried out in a laboratory environment to evaluate the fire resistance of battery pack and structures by simulating real fire exposure conditions.
External Fire Exposure Test Machine usually consists of the following parts:
1. External ignition source: usually a special flamethrower or burner that is used to simulate the external ignition source and fire during a fire.
2. Specimen Holder: Used to support the specimen, usually a holder with adjustable height and Angle, in order to place the specimen in the appropriate position to simulate real fire exposure conditions.
3. Data collecting system: It is used for recording the surface temperature and other parameters of the sample, in order to evaluate the fire resistance performance.
4. Control system: It is used for controlling the fire source to keep the stability and consistency of the test requirements.
During the test, the battery was put on the movable sample rack and exposed to an external fire source, and the sample's fire resistance will be evaluated by recording the parameters such as temperature. The test results can be used to evaluate the performance of materials and structures under fire exposure situation, and offer reference for design and fire safety.
BELL's External Fire Exposure Test Machine meets ECE R100 and UL2580 if customer wants to test battery packs. Our mahcine is with advanced controlled system and make test progress more intelligent and automatical.
